This is the second of Joe Hayes dual language books of folk tales I ve read I think I liked the other The Day it Snowed Tortillasjust a little better But both are great, short folktales to read or tell to children, or for adults with a little bit of Spanish to practice reading things they can really understand.

In the days of King Adobe was my favorite but all of them were great Love it when the smart aleks get their comeuppance I also like the side by side English Spanish, partly because of the area I am in where this could help make these lovely tales accessible to a wider audience I don t see much of this in other languages but then, I ve not looked for those.
